ICANN83 Policy Forum will be held in Prague, Czech Republic at the Prague Congress Centre from 9-12 June 2025.
This will be a hybrid meeting with both in-person and virtual participation.
All sessions will be conducted during regular working hours in Prague, Czech Republic, (Central European Summer Time, CEST / UTC +2).

Prep Week will be conducted on 27 & 28 May 2025. The Prep Week schedule will be published on 5 May 2025.
The comprehensive schedule will be published on 19 May 2025.

10:45-11:30 - GAC Discussion on WHOIS and Registration Data Issues
This session aims to discuss status and consider possible next steps for the GAC in relation to deliberations and implementation efforts seeking to establish a new WHOIS/Registration Data policy framework taking into account relevant Data Protection law. The GAC will be briefed on latest developments and related policy concerns, in connection with:

Ongoing discussions regarding the handling of specific Urgent Request for disclosure of registration data;
Operations and future of the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS), a pilot program launched as proof of concept for a permanent System for Standardized Access/Disclosure (SSAD) per EPDP Phase 2 Policy Recommendations;
And considerations for advancing future policy work regarding accuracy of registration data.

11:30-12:15 - GAC Meeting with the Address Supporting Organization (ASO)
The GAC will be meeting with the Address Supporting Organization to follow up on intersessional discussions on the ICP-2 public comment proceeding (see https://gac.icann.org/sessions/gac-webinar-on-the-rir-governance-document-icp-2-public-comment-with-the-aso.), and focus on potential next steps for governments.

Join us for an interactive session as cross-community panelists share their perspectives on example DNS Abuse reports with audience participation and input via Zoom Polls and discussion.
The goal of the session is to better understand varying perspectives on how DNS Abuse is addressed and to consider what further work is necessary to improve the stability, security, and resilience of the DNS.
We’ll look at example reports together and have a dynamic dialogue about ideal outcomes, considering possibilities from domain suspension through contacting the registrant all the way to taking no action at all.
We want to include as many different perspectives as possible from across the ICANN Community, so we encourage everyone to participate and make sure your voices are heard!

The Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Domain Name-related Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) session at ICANN83 kicks off an exploration of the theme of online scams, financial crime, and their connection to domain name related abuse. The focus will be the Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) perspective. The purpose of the session is to examine the approaches and challenges in tackling Domain Name Abuse, acknowledging the varying methods used across regions while emphasizing the shared objective of reducing abuse.
The ICANN83 session is part of a series; DASC is considering follow-up sessions at ICANN84. The purpose of the series is to deepen the discussion and foster greater cooperation among ccTLD operators, law enforcement, industry experts, and other stakeholders.

This session will be split into two regular work sessions for current SSAC work parties.
15:30–16:15: Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) Work Party Meeting
16:15–17:00: Responsible Integration into the DNS Ecosystem (RIDE) Work Party Meeting
The SSAC FOSS work party is examining the prevalence and characteristics of free and open-source software within critical DNS infrastructure.
The SSAC RIDE Work Party is examining the security and stability risks of integrating traditional domain names with new technologies and applications.
SSAC work sessions focus on internal SSAC work and are open to observation. They are not structured for active engagement; audience engagement occurs at discretion of the session Chair.
